Some teams can get distracted on Homecoming week. That didn’t apply to the Vacaville High football team though.
Vacaville routed visiting Tracy 49-9 on Friday at Tom Zunino Stadium in the final nonleague tune-up before Monticello Empire League play.
Quarterback Ryan Vaughan was 13 of 23 for 183 yards with two touchdowns passing and another on the ground as his team improved to 3-2 in the preseason. Vacaville had lost two straight coming into the contest, dropping road games at Cardinal Newman and Granite Bay.
